Jazzman's

The Chamber of Commerce, members of the public and students joined KWC officials on Friday, February 19, for a ribbon cutting and the grand opening of Jazzman’s Cafe and Bakery in the Winchester Center on campus.

Guests received samples of coffee and baked goods, a couple of students played guitars and a good time was had by all. Photos in the gallery at the bottom of the page, plus this video:

Students walking through the Winchester Center these days are hearing the sounds of progress as construction gets underway on the new Jazzman’s Cafe and Bakery.

Renovation of the game room and exercise area began recently and is scheduled for completion in early February. Sodexo, the college’s food and facilities management service, is providing funding for the renovation.

Jazzman’s will offer gourmet coffees, fruit smoothies, pastries and salads. “This will be an open and inviting area for our students that will be perfect for relaxing with friends or studying,” said President Cheryl King. “We are grateful to Sodexo for their generosity.”

The pool tables and vending machines from the game room will be moved to Pyles Lounge, and equipment from the exercise room will go to Peeples Hall and the Athletic Training area.
